Hello Mendota Alumni!

We hope that you had a great summer and are ready for the upcoming winter months.

At MendotaAlumni.com we have been busy updating and adding new features for you to participate in.  We don't want to be just a website that you look at.  We want you to be able to get involved!  Whether it is by answering a poll or keeping in touch with old friends, we are here for you to take an active part.

After months of looking at various software, we have finally installed a new Discussion Forum package that will allow you to post your own announcements, ask about old friends, create or respond to polls, and reminisce about days gone by. 

The new area is for Members Only.  You will need to register with us (don't worry - there's still no charge!) and within minutes - after a quick email validation process - you will be able to use our new forums as well as find, email and instant private message other Members.  Once you log in, you can update your contact information and set your Privacy Settings.  Please fill out the registration form carefully! 

If you have questions or need help with any of the new features, visit the Administrative Boards, use the "Help" feature, or send us an email.  We want you to be happy and feel comfortable and secure using the new area.  This is new to us as well as to you.  It is our intent that, as issues arise, we address and resolve them as quickly as possible.  Your patience while we do so is greatly appreciated.  Watch the Administrative Boards for updates.  Please let us know If there is anything that we can do to help. 

 
We have many more options and information sharing ideas that we want to implement for our Members, but we are so excited about the new forums that we can't wait any longer to open the area to you! 

We will be adding more new features as time permits.  We'd like to see an area in your profile for you to list the sports, clubs and activities that you were involved with in high school as well as a place to tell what you've done since then.  Meanwhile, we have created an area in the Forums for you to let us know what you'd like to see. 

To get to the new area, go to MendotaAlumni.com and click on the Member Forum button.

Of course we still have all the areas that we have always had.  The Class Pages, the Reunion Page, Lummies and the School Building pages.   We've added a new look to some of them, and we plan to continue to upgrade and clean up the entire site.  So be sure to check back often!

 We have included a forum for each of the Class years for which we currently have members on our mailing list.  Feel free to add a message to someone or post something about your Class!  As new members register, we will add additional Class forums as required.  You can also sort the Member list by Class year to find out who has registered and then email or instant message them!
This last summer we asked for donations to help with the cost of MendotaAlumni.com hosting.  Many people donated with cash or checks and we sincerely appreciate it.  We think that you will see the effects of some of those donations when you visit our new area. 

Some people had asked about being able to donate using a credit or debit card.  We are happy to announce that we are now able to accept your kind donations through our Pay Pal account.  It is a safe and secure way to donate as much - or as little - as you'd like.

Your privacy is important to us.  Please understand that you have options within the Member Forum Member Center to set certain privacy features including whether others can see your email address (it is available by default).  Only Registered Members can view your profile.  We are alerted whenever someone new registers and we review their registration to determine their legitimacy.  Since the idea of this site is to bring old friends together, we hope that you allow others to email you, but understand if you don't.  MendotaAlumni.com will never sell or give out your information except as determined by your settings on the Member Forum.
